Galacon Review Part 3

Maybe I should try and wrap this review up some point before BUCK starts! Last day for Galacon, though we did have the Monday and most of Tuesday in Germany, which was quite the adventure. Now I wasn't expecting this, but we ended up waking up earlier on the Sunday then we did the Saturday. Seemed weird to me, but we had important business to take care of! The first event of the second day was the signing session for the American voice actors. Andrea and Peter readied their pens for the hoards of people lining up outside to get their signatures. A friend of mine is a massive fan of Big Macintosh and since Peter New was really talkative they ended up chatting for ages.

Galacon Review Part 2

We haven't event got to the opening ceremony yet and it's already Part Two! This is insane! Without any further adieu! At 11am the doors opened to the Main Hall, where we all took our seats for the opening ceremony. Perry came on stage and welcomed us to the Galacon. They then played videos detailing the community and show guests that were going to be appearing during the convention. We got to know all about the voice actors and what other roles they have played. They all then came on stage, which was was quite a surprise. Check after the break for the video and more!

Galacon Review Part 1

Over twenty of us Brits went to Galacon. About Half Split between Heathrow and Manchester Airports, with about three people travelling by Eurostar. I'll skip most of our trip since it's not really related to Ponies, but as a quick note, Germanwings airlines is probably one of the best i've ever travelled with, was such nice flight, the plane was really comfy as well. I highly recommend them. You guys should make them an OC like that other airline! Anyway besides me defeating the Elite Four, N and Ghetsis during that flight there isn't much more for me to say.

Back from Galacon!

I've returned from Germany though I really wish I could have stayed! It's been a wonderful weekend, not only for Pony, for everything! German culture is awesome. Still sort of suffering from Post Con Hangover Exhaustion Depression. I'm still not deadly sure how i'll be covering the convention. I think I'm going to be posting several different articles other the next few days to get the best coverage and to keep things interesting. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have, luckily though within our group there was one guy taking hundreds of tourist pics and two actual photographers so we should have some pretty cool pictures among us.

Anyway, I'm not glad to be back! But it's nice having internet again :P

A week until Galacon!

Well, in just a weeks time a bunch of us will be leaving the UK and travelling to Germany! No no, it's not just for the chocolate and ale. It's for the one and only Galacon! With a ton of show guests, both from America and Europe and some truly amazing community guests, Galacon is set to be brilliant. We'll be suiting up in formal dress for the evening Gala, which'll be good since i've missed wearing suits during this crazy summer heat.

I'll try my hardest to cover the convention in it's fullest! I'm not sure what the Internet situation is going to be like, hopefully the hotel will have a cheap enough connection! If not, expect an update during the following Wednesday!
