Buck: Legacy Card game to appear at MCM London!

So I just opened tumblr for whatever reason and I noticed the MCM logo! To my surprise it was from the Buck: Legacy card game's blog. http://buck-card-game.tumblr.com/

They're having a table this year at the MCM London Comic Con! So be sure to check them out, apparently they'll be having some special gifts up for grabs!

Equestria Girls, we're kind of Magical!

So, the dreaded date June 16th is certainly around the corner. That date is in fact the release of MLP:FiM - Equestria Girls. Now for those who are keeping up to date with this should know that it's being released in US cinemas, though I'm not overly certain how many cinemas that'll be! I'm pretty sure it's mostly a straight to DVD release but we'll have to wait and see. I don't really want to have to watch it from a shaky recording on an iPhone, as that would totally suck. Hopefully we'll be seeing a DVD rip or it broadcast on the HUB not long after the release date. Now I know a lot of you aren't overly excited about this and yes I do agree the designs of the humanised ponies aren't fab but it really is a case of just giving it a go. I think a lot of us are a little disheartened by it as we haven't really had much news, there hasn't even been a trailer yet. The setting might be a little odd, Highschool wasn't all of our favourite times of our lives. However an interesting piece of info says that EVERYPONY has a human counterpart. This'll be interesting to see, though for all we know Celestia will be the head master of the school! If such is the case, Luna just has to be the uber cool science teacher with a passion for Astrometry or something equally bizarre.

Ello there Manechester!

So, last Sunday saw a rather fantastic brony meet in the grand city of Manchester! Definitely a good one I have to say, it practically lasted three days for myself and the other organisers, haha! Was an amazing weekend and I really can't wait for the next one, as I am sure most of the attendees are eager for the next one as well.

Some significant points include the quiz, where poor old Cheesey got bombarded by blindbags and various other pony merch as retaliation to his rather tricky first question! Blueflow with Mareplay UK made an appearance, along with many other fantastic vendors! There was the fan fiction contest and the art contest took on a different twist this time with the task being to draw CatBug! You're probably best off checking Cheesey's write up on the UKoE for a more insight view on the event!

Ok well this is a fairly interesting one we received during the /mlp/ thread. It's a fan fiction but has a few assets to go along with it. It's written by Dreamlander, back in September after /mlp/ demanded he write more, he did just that! This is quite a long one, but on first peek it seems worth the read! The story appears heavily OC and military taking on a film script style of writing.

They said I was insane, I showed them otherwise! Yesterday I took a gamble and made a thread on /mlp/ about Bronies UK and this here website! I really feel it's a shame that most other websites and communities involved with Bronies seem too scared to dare tread on the infamous website known as 4chan. It is where our fandom was born after all. Anyway, the thread was hugely insightful, quite entertaining, gained us a few submissions and even got myself an interview with ANI-Con Radio. This was the first ever time I had posted  as a namefag.. feels dirty.. I've always been a lurker.

I think i'd love to do a Q&A on /mlp/ in the near future and hopefully get a few others helping out. We'll see about that though!

De Lancie announced for BUCK 2013

As you all should know by now, the ever amazing John De Lancie has been announced for BUCK 2013! He was set to come last year but sadly couldn't make it due to being summed by the Q continuum for various reasons. However, as I do believe his fellow Q's have ordered him to attend BUCK this year where i'm sure he'll be putting on one hell of a show! I for one, am very excited!

Fan Fiction:- The Equestria Games: First Blood

[Crossover][Sad][Dark][Adventure]

Today we have a pony rendition of the hunger games. This is a pretty long read through, even in it's incomplete state it is over half the size of a full novel! It appears to be well written and if you're a fan of the hunger games it'll be definitely worth a read.

The story follows the the failed revolution against the capital, now two ponies between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district must be offered to compete in the Equestria Games, a fight to the finish.

Happy April 1st!

So today's been quite the day of ponytastic pranks and jokes. I feel bad for not attempting to do something similar, sadly though i'm pretty rubbish at pranks!

We've had EQD reporting on some insane things, Welovefine selling pony perfumes and the twitterverse has been very active with tons of silly and fun tweets by the community and show staff. And no Google, I don't want to sniff you!

BUCK tickets go on sale!

So that moment we've all been waiting eagerly for, BUCK tickets are now on sale! Looks like they've got a lot planned for us this year! Including the Summer Sun celebration festival on the Friday where many brony musicians will be performing. Though none are announced yet the ticket listings do mention "VIP" guests so we can hope for some of the show staff attending this year round!

My wallet might be crying but I'm super excited for August!

Fan Fiction: Heart Strong

I was very excited this morning to see sitting in my inbox our first submission! I totally didn't squee or anything I swear!

After a nice cup of tea, I got straight to work and read through the fan fic. I have to say it's pretty darn good. The author, bonfire82 says he really would love to have the motivation again to continue writing. It's a very interesting story, a loveable character, has some sad parts and some funny parts. I think it'll be really interesting to see where this story goes. The story follows the character Heart Strong, a homeless young colt with a love of music. I highly suggest giving this story a read through and hit up some critic in the comments section below.

We're getting there!

The site's getting better all the time. We've just installed Disqus so comments should be handled nicer and if you check out the submit page we now have swanky new form rather than just silly links to emails!

The site is nearing completion, or at least to the point it can be officially considered open. We don't intend to stop work on improving it however. If there are any suggestions or if you think you could help us out with a few things don't hesitate to hit us an email!

Twicorn - We've seen nothing yet!

Now as you all must know by now, everyone's favourite bookworm pony is set to ascend into a princess pony during the season 3 final. There has been much talk of rage, annoyance and general disbelief in the entire affair. Oddly enough however I have personally seen more talk of drama rather than actual drama among the communities. Many people actually seem incredibly pleased about Twilight's new fancy set of wings. I for one welcome our new overlord  princess. There are a few points I'd like to mention however. For those not wanting to be spoiled don't join us after the break!
