BUCK tickets go on sale!

So that moment we've all been waiting eagerly for, BUCK tickets are now on sale! Looks like they've got a lot planned for us this year! Including the Summer Sun celebration festival on the Friday where many brony musicians will be performing. Though none are announced yet the ticket listings do mention "VIP" guests so we can hope for some of the show staff attending this year round!

My wallet might be crying but I'm super excited for August!

Fan Fiction: Heart Strong

I was very excited this morning to see sitting in my inbox our first submission! I totally didn't squee or anything I swear!

After a nice cup of tea, I got straight to work and read through the fan fic. I have to say it's pretty darn good. The author, bonfire82 says he really would love to have the motivation again to continue writing. It's a very interesting story, a loveable character, has some sad parts and some funny parts. I think it'll be really interesting to see where this story goes. The story follows the character Heart Strong, a homeless young colt with a love of music. I highly suggest giving this story a read through and hit up some critic in the comments section below.

We're getting there!

The site's getting better all the time. We've just installed Disqus so comments should be handled nicer and if you check out the submit page we now have swanky new form rather than just silly links to emails!

The site is nearing completion, or at least to the point it can be officially considered open. We don't intend to stop work on improving it however. If there are any suggestions or if you think you could help us out with a few things don't hesitate to hit us an email!

Twicorn - We've seen nothing yet!

Now as you all must know by now, everyone's favourite bookworm pony is set to ascend into a princess pony during the season 3 final. There has been much talk of rage, annoyance and general disbelief in the entire affair. Oddly enough however I have personally seen more talk of drama rather than actual drama among the communities. Many people actually seem incredibly pleased about Twilight's new fancy set of wings. I for one welcome our new overlord  princess. There are a few points I'd like to mention however. For those not wanting to be spoiled don't join us after the break! For those who want to venture into a long review of different aspects of season one and two and a few fan theories hit that link below!

Bring on a new year of Pony!

2012 draws to a close and a new year is upon us. It's been a fantastic year for the fandom and the show it's self is seeing all new heights. Though a shame the series is only half as long this time around and will be ending in a few months we can't disagree that season 3 has been just simply brilliant! We have much to look forward to in the coming month, tons of meets, BUCK 2013 and of course the sheer amount of wonderful content produced by bronies all over the world.

2013 sees a lot of changes here at Bronies UK as well as we focus our efforts on content and bringing the communities together.

I hope you've all had a wonderful year and will enjoy 2013!

Oldham Meet - 19th January

Oldham, the ever growing centre of the entire world deserves a meet! There's already a fair number of Bronies there and it's close to Manchester so we can expect a reasonable turnout! They even have a swanky new Metro Link connection so.. yeah!!

Almost ready!

This was our first post, mainly used as a placeholder to see how things looked before more content was posted. Feels to bad to actually remove it now, so instead I've just rewritten it to not include horrendous amounts of garbled text.

In fact, this is a perfect opportunity to talk about what this site actually is. The Brony Fandom, having started on 4chan's /co/ board back towards the end of 2010 has became one of the largest and most impressive internet phenomenons ever. Since then we've came such a long way, I really don't even know where to begin. We've had so many websites, so much content, charity, conventions and meets. The Fandom has in many ways changed some people's lives and this really does make it all the more special. Something so simple has made so many people happy.

Bronies UK has been around for quite some time now, leading the ways in social media for bronies of the United Kingdom. Facebook and Google+ being two of the favourite places bronies have formed communities. On top of that there are countless other places bronies call home. The largest UK community of bronies, 2000+ strong is the UK of Equestria forums who we are happy to say are our good friends and partners.

With this blog we intend to report on many aspects of the fandom, specifically for those in our own Country. The best part of the fandom has always been how it connects people with similar interests, extending far from just My Little Pony: FiM. With this we want to help make it easier for people to connect and meet new people. Probably not the best explanation in the world but i'm sure things will become more set in stone in the coming months.
